1100EmSense – Next Material‑Smart Generation

We are pleased to introduce 1100EmSense, the new rectangular container set to replace today’s 1100EmBra. It is developed for the same wide range of food applications, but now with a more resource‑efficient, modern construction that meets the demands of tomorrow’s packaging landscape and upcoming PPWR requirements.

A Natural Next Step in Smart, Material‑Efficient Development

Reducing plastic is a natural part of continuous product improvement. Our goal is to offer packaging solutions that perform better for our customers while aligning with future regulatory expectations. It is a clear step forward, without compromising on functionality, strength, or usability in production.

A Redesigned Construction that Uses Less while Performing More

The new container is the result of close collaboration with key users, where their requirements formed the basis for the redesign. Several design concepts were tested to find the right balance between material efficiency, strength and functionality. This process led to a construction with reduced wall thickness and a newly engineered wall geometry that maintains strong load bearing performance despite using less material.

Meets the PPWR Requirements

The lighter design helps lower material related fees and supports a more sustainable product profile, aligning with both legislative demands and customer expectations. At the same time, the significantly lower stacking height improves storage and transport efficiency. Being able to fit more units on the same pallet simplifies logistics, reduces transport emissions, and streamlines internal handling. The updated design also provides excellent decoration possibilities, not only on lid, but also on the pot, creating strong branding opportunities on the shelf.

Together, these improvements result in a lighter, smarter container that supports efficiency throughout the customer’s entire operational flow – from filling and sealing to handling and logistics.
