Developing Future Packaging Skills Together

At Emballator, we are committed to supporting the next generation of specialists in the packaging industry. Our field is changing quickly, with growing expectations around sustainability, material knowledge, logistics and international collaboration. To meet these needs, education must stay close to real challenges and real work.

Supporting programmes that reflect real industry needs

This year, we took part in the YH (Higher Vocational Education) application process. We are pleased that all three programmes we supported have now been approved:

  • Packaging Developer (remote) – Nackademin
  • Polymer Specialist – Yrkeshögskolan Jönköping
  • Packaging Engineer – Packaging Solution Engineer, Environment & Sustainability – Yrkeshögskolan Älmhult

Programme starts are confirmed for 2026, 2027 and 2028.

These approvals are positive news not only for the schools, but for the entire packaging sector. The demand for practical, sustainability‑focused competence continues to grow, and the YH system plays an important role in securing the skills companies need in the coming years.

A collaborative effort

Mats Jeppsson represented Emballator throughout the application work, contributing hands‑on expertise, industry insight and letters of intent. His support helped make these programmes possible.

Looking ahead

We look forward to continuing our involvement — as a partner, LIA (internship) host, guest lecturer and industry collaborator. Together, we can help shape the packaging competence that the future demands.

By working closely with educators and students, we build a strong foundation for a more sustainable, innovative and competitive industry.
