Efficient Transport for a More Sustainable Future

Transport is an important part of Emballator’s climate strategy and represents around 10% of our total climate footprint. Our goal is to achieve climate‑neutral transport by 2030. Reaching this means shifting to electric vehicles and bio‑based fuels wherever it’s practical—and continuously improving how we plan and manage our logistics.

In 2024, our transport‑related carbon footprint decreased by 33% compared with 2021, showing clear progress in the right direction.

Electrified vehicles and bio‑based fuel

In 2024, we increased the use of electric vehicles and bio‑based fuels, mainly for internal transport between our units but also for selected customer deliveries. This helped reduce CO₂e emissions from transport by 33% compared with 2021.

Over the past year alone, our climate footprint from transport has decreased by 21%.

Optimised logistics

With our new TIS system, we can plan transport more efficiently—making sure trucks are as full as possible and improving coordination across routes and deliveries. We also review how products are packed on pallets and in trucks to maximise space and reduce the frequency of shipments. These steps allow us to minimise carbon emissions while keeping deliveries reliable.

In the coming years, we will continue increasing the use of electric vehicles and bio‑based fuels, supporting our long‑term ambition of climate‑neutral transport by 2030.
