Emballator Lagan awarded EcoVadis Gold

Emballator Lagan has been awarded EcoVadis Gold thanks to its strong focus on environmental initiatives, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement. Achieving high EcoVadis ratings is an important part of the Emballator Group’s wider sustainability ambitions.

EcoVadis evaluates more than 75,000 companies across 160 countries and 200 industries. The rating covers four areas: Environment, Ethics, Labour & Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement.

Emballator Lagan works with a broad range of initiatives linked to the Emballator Climate Strategy, covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

Per Petterson, CEO of Emballator Lagan, reflects on the achievement:

“Sustainability has been a natural and important part of our business for many years. We are now continuing our rollout of packaging in consumer‑recycled materials and developing tools to measure improvements in these areas. I’m proud of the team effort behind this rating and look forward to continuing to strengthen our sustainability work.”

Looking forward, one of the Emballator Group’s key focus areas is sustainability within the supply chain, including the Supplier Code of Conduct and ensuring good working conditions.

Maria Edqvist Schultz, Head of Sustainability at Emballator Group, adds:

“I congratulate Emballator Lagan on their sustainability achievement. Many projects across our companies are underway that will further strengthen our sustainability performance and support our Group Climate Strategy.”
