Emballator Tectubes invests in new extrusion line to strengthen sustainable tube production
Emballator Tectubes has taken an important step in strengthening its position in sustainable tube manufacturing. The company has invested in a new fully automated plastic extrusion line that enables the production of tubes made from bio‑based and post‑consumer recycled materials—combined with exceptionally high print quality.
With more than 50 years of tube manufacturing experience in Hjo, Emballator Tectubes brings long‑held expertise into this new phase. The extrusion line allows the company to produce tubes suited for the Personal Care, Pharmaceutical and Food markets, now with even stronger sustainability credentials.
The multi‑layer technology makes it possible to integrate recycled material into the tubes. This supports EU requirements and is an important step in reducing the carbon footprint while promoting a more circular use of resources.
“Our latest investment is more than just technology – it represents a new level of efficiency and sustainability. We believe this is one of Europe’s most advanced extrusion lines for combining a high share of recycled material with fully automated production. We can run at higher speeds while avoiding heavy lifting and manual work,” says Tobias Lidevei, CEO of Emballator Tectubes.
One of the key advantages of the new line is the ability to deliver outstanding print quality across different techniques. Switching seamlessly between flexo printing, screen and inline foiling makes it possible to offer a wider range of designs and meet diverse customer needs with greater precision.
Thanks to this printing technology, Emballator can reach a new level of visual quality, further strengthening its offer and market position.
“With the new line, we guarantee the best print quality possible. It’s a significant step forward, and we are confident it will set a new standard in the industry. This investment positions us as a reliable partner ready to meet future needs and challenges,” Tobias continues.
Overall, the investment is both a technological and sustainable milestone. It supports Emballator’s goal of becoming a leading producer of sustainable plastic tubes in Scandinavia and reinforces the company’s commitment to long‑term, responsible production.
