Increasing the Share of Recycled Plastic Without Compromising Quality

At Emballator, we believe in continuous, long‑term work towards a more sustainable future. Recycled and bio‑based plastics play an important role in reducing environmental impact and supporting a more circular society.

To lower our carbon footprint and meet future PPWR requirements, we continue to increase the share of recycled plastic in our product range. Using recycled plastic instead of virgin material brings clear environmental benefits, such as reduced demand for raw resources and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Between 2021 and 2024, we increased the amount of recycled plastic in our packaging by 14 percentage points. And we are not stopping there. We are working steadily towards our goal of reaching 80% recycled plastic where possible by 2030.

Alongside increasing recycled content, we remain committed to ensuring that the packaging we deliver meets high standards for quality and safety.

We are proud to now offer cosmetic tubes that include recycled plastic without compromising consumer health. The Emballator Innovation Center has developed a qualified material and obtained third‑party certification approving 52% PCR for all types of cosmetic packaging. Emballator Tectubes can now supply products based on this material.

In collaboration with the Swedish Plastic Recycling company, we have also verified that the material is sortable. We continue to work with innovative solutions to ensure both the purity and the safety of recycled plastics used in our packaging.
