Kristoffer Asklöv appointed new CEO of Emballator
Kent Viitanen has planned since early this year to conclude his time at Emballator, and Herenco has been working in parallel to find his successor. It is now confirmed that Kristoffer Asklöv will take over as CEO in January 2026.
Over the past three years, under the leadership of Kent Viitanen, Emballator has built a more customer‑focused organisation and strengthened its position in the Nordic and Northern European markets. This has included organic growth as well as key acquisitions, such as Europak in Finland and Avez in France. The strategy ahead remains clear: continue growing through service, innovation and sustainable solutions.
Kristoffer most recently served as COO & CSO at Kitron Group, a Scandinavian EMS company specialising in the development and manufacturing of electronic products. During his four years at Kitron, he held global responsibility for sales and marketing, strategic acquisitions and improvements in purchasing and production. He has also previously held senior roles at Scanfil and Partnertech.
“We are delighted to have attracted a top executive like Kristoffer Asklöv to the role of CEO of Emballator,” says Anders Davidsson, CEO of Herenco and Chairman of Emballator Group.
“Kristoffer’s international experience, together with his drive, business acumen and strong leadership skills, will help take the Emballator Group to the next level. He has been part of an impressive journey at Kitron, and at the same time brings a down‑to‑earth and humble approach that fits well with Herenco’s values.”
Kristoffer Asklöv, born in 1977, lives in Linköping with his family and will be based at Emballator’s headquarters in Ulricehamn. As part of his introduction, he will visit several of Emballator’s sites during the fourth quarter of 2025.
Kent Viitanen will remain in his current role for the rest of the year and will work closely with Kristoffer to ensure a smooth handover.
“We are extremely grateful that Kent chose to take on Emballator after his long career at SKF,” adds Anders Davidsson. “With his wise leadership and consistent focus on customers and business, he has built a strong foundation for Emballator’s continued journey.”
