Meet Jhonny – Bringing Colour, Craft and Collaboration to Tube Printing

At Emballator Tectubes, Jhonny and his colleague Roger make sure every tube has the right colour, the right shade and the right text in exactly the right place. With a sharp eye for detail and many years of production experience, Jhonny is a key part of our artwork department.

A role shaped by flexibility and teamwork

There’s no such thing as a typical workday for Jhonny. Planning matters, but flexibility matters even more. Urgent issues can come up at any time, and having space in the schedule is essential. This variety is one of the things he enjoys most. His work spans close contact with customers, practical problem‑solving and daily collaboration with production – a mix he truly values.

From furniture maker to print specialist

Jhonny started at Emballator in 1988, after five years as a furniture maker in Tibro. What was meant to be a short stop became a long and meaningful career. After 15 years as a production operator, he moved into his current role, where his hands‑on background has been a real strength. He also helped build the artwork department from the ground up – a project he looks back on with pride.

Another memorable moment was the Kavli project, where he and the production team launched a new printing line, despite flexographic printing being completely new to them. “We were pretty green, but we still made it – and I’m proud of that,” he says.

A drive to learn and try new approaches

Continuous learning comes naturally to Jhonny. He enjoys testing new approaches and exploring printing solutions that push the boundaries – even when they don’t work out, they bring valuable insight. Personal commitment is important to him, and he believes it plays a key role in a company’s long‑term success.

Collaboration is another thing he appreciates deeply. “If I ask someone for help, it’s never a problem – whether it’s in administration or production,” he says.

He looks to the future with both confidence and realism. The need for tubes remains steady, but shifting market demands call for flexible and efficient production – something he sees as both a challenge and an opportunity.

A life full of interests beyond work

Outside of work, Jhonny is a dedicated sports enthusiast – mostly from the comfort of the sofa, as he jokes. He is also active in IFK Hjo, where he helps look after Guldkroksvallen. Cooking is a favourite pastime, even if, as he says, the combination of good food and sofa time has its drawbacks.

With a genuine interest in social issues and the world around him, Jhonny brings far more than technical expertise to his role. He is committed, curious and always keen to grow – both professionally and personally.
