“The Right Material in the Right Place” – Emballator at the Ystad Summit Panel Discussion
Ystad Summit brings together more than 4,000 participants from business, politics, academia and civil society at the historic regiment grounds in Ystad. The event is known for its open format and its strong focus on collaboration across industries and sectors. This year’s themes include preparedness, green transition, competence and growth, and social sustainability.
On 3 September, Emballator’s Innovation Manager Mats Jeppsson took part in a panel discussion hosted by Polykemi during Ystad Summit – Sweden’s leading forum for cross‑sector dialogue and societal development. The panel, themed “The Right Material in the Right Place,” focused on how material choices shape innovation, sustainability and long‑term development in industries such as packaging, construction and automotive.
Bringing material expertise to the discussion
During the discussion, Mats highlighted the importance of choosing materials that meet both functional and economic requirements while supporting long‑term environmental goals and customer needs. With experience spanning many material solutions within Emballator’s broad packaging offering, he contributed practical insights on how thoughtful choices can support smarter product development.
The panel formed part of a full‑day programme hosted by Polykemi, bringing together voices from the materials and manufacturing industries to explore how we can make more sustainable and informed decisions in product development and packaging.
Through collaboration, we can move in the right direction.
