Guiding Customers Through a Changing Packaging Landscape
Packaging priorities differ from brand to brand. Some focus on sustainability, others on cost, convenience or performance. Finding the right solution can be challenging, and in a recent interview Philip Mann, Managing Director of Emballator (UK), shared his thoughts on how the industry is evolving—and how we support customers in making confident choices.
Clear guidance without bias
Philip highlighted a common issue in the market: packaging advice can often be influenced by a manufacturer’s own commercial interests. At Emballator, we work differently. Because we offer both metal and plastic packaging, we can focus fully on what each customer actually needs.
“Packaging manufacturers tend to be biased towards their own product offerings. We, however, have no commercial interest in favouring one type of packaging over another,” Philip explained.
This balanced approach helps brands choose materials and formats based on function, reliability and long‑term value—not on what a supplier is trying to push.
Preparing for what’s next
Looking ahead, Philip shared his view on the changes expected in the coming years. Regulations will continue to evolve, shaping how packaging is designed, produced and reused. For us, this isn’t new territory—it’s part of how we work.
“The industry is no stranger to change, and upcoming regulations will undoubtedly shape the future landscape,” he noted.
Our long experience and material knowledge put us in a strong position to support customers as expectations rise. Whether a brand is aiming to reduce its environmental footprint, improve recyclability or increase product protection, we help find the most suitable solution across both metal and plastic ranges.
Working together for reliable, future‑ready packaging
Our goal is simple: to give every customer the guidance they need to make sound, sustainable choices. By staying neutral between materials and focused on real-world performance, we help brands find packaging that meets their goals today while preparing for tomorrow’s requirements.
