Meet Daniel Bäck – Foreman, Operator and Long‑standing Colleague in Mellerud

We are pleased to introduce Daniel Bäck, a highly valued part of our team in Mellerud. Daniel has been with us for nearly 19 years and has grown from machine operator to foreman – a role where his practical skill and steady leadership make a real difference.

A steady hand in production

Daniel works in a five‑shift system and ensures that production runs safely and smoothly, especially during nights and weekends when production managers are not on site. As foreman, he also carries personnel responsibility in the blow moulding hall during these hours.

When not leading the shift, Daniel works as a machine operator. His workdays vary, but quality is always in focus. He takes regular samples, inspects our products and performs tests on UN‑approved packaging. These tests include pressure checks using water‑filled containers and controlled drop tests to verify durability.

Growing into leadership

Daniel started as a machine operator and continued his training over the years, becoming a setter and later a team leader. Today, he works solely as team leader—something he truly enjoys. Alongside his strong technical understanding and interest in machinery, Daniel believes in listening, supporting others and helping colleagues solve everyday challenges.

He is committed to developing his leadership skills further. One of Emballator’s core values, Warm Heart, resonates strongly with him and reflects his genuine care for those he works with.

“Helping employees grow and seeing them realise they’re getting better at their jobs is the most rewarding part of my work.”

A broad background and a life shaped by community

Daniel has built much of his technical expertise here at Emballator, but his experience stretches beyond the factory floor. He is the chairman of the IF Metall union at the site and has served as a part‑time firefighter for 14 years.

Outside work, Daniel enjoys time with his family, training, padel and strength workouts. He also helps run a local gym. His future dreams include spending more time on his motorcycle, moving to his parents’ farm and eventually buying a home in a warmer climate. He has also competed in the Swedish Poker Championship in Malta and has a keen interest in whisky and cigars.
