Meet Maria Edqvist Schultz – Leading Sustainability at Emballator
Maria Edqvist Schultz is the Head of Sustainability for the Emballator Group. In this role, she supports all companies in the group with sustainability matters — from planning ahead to monitoring progress and acting as an expert advisor both internally and in dialogue with customers and suppliers.
With a background as a chemical and environmental engineer, combined with many years in the automotive industry, Maria brings deep knowledge of quality and environmental work. She enjoys coordinating projects, working with people and constantly learning — qualities that fit naturally with the wide scope of her role.
A varied role shaped by constant development
No two days look the same for Maria. She stays updated on new laws and regulations, takes part in customer meetings as a sustainability specialist and works on standard development for circular materials. Right now, much of her focus is on preparing the group’s sustainability report.
“I often help customers understand new legislation that affects them and how their packaging looks now and in the future. I can also help find the best packaging from an environmental and climate perspective by working together to understand what is best for the full life cycle.”
Her work supports Emballator’s long‑term direction and strengthens customers’ understanding of how choices made today affect environmental impact tomorrow.
A trusted expert supporting customers and colleagues
Maria’s expertise helps ensure that Emballator meets the latest sustainability requirements while offering packaging solutions that are responsible, practical and aligned with future expectations. Her ability to explain complex topics in a clear way makes her a valuable guide for customers navigating new regulations.
Her dedication and hands‑on approach make her an important part of Emballator’s progress — contributing to both improved sustainability performance and informed decisions throughout the value chain.
