Meet Mikael Furunäs – Key Account Manager at Emballator Lagan

Strong relationships and customer understanding are at the heart of our work at Emballator. That’s why we are glad to have Mikael Furunäs as our Key Account Manager. With experience from the plastics industry and a genuine interest in long‑term partnerships, Mikael is an important part of our team.

Mikael describes his work as a mix of communication and collaboration. A typical week in the office is filled with emails, quotes, phone calls and Teams meetings with both colleagues and customers. Every other week, he visits customers—meeting both new and long‑standing contacts. Since joining Emballator, he has quickly found his place in a fast‑moving and varied environment.

“I jumped straight into the action and worked on real customer cases from day one. It was a great learning experience. I shared about myself and how we work at Emballator, which helped customers trust us. This led to more inquiries and orders.”

This early success—re‑engaging customers who had felt overlooked—is something Mikael is especially proud of.

Life outside work

At home, Mikael is a dedicated parent. He and his wife have four children, a stepson and two cats. They live in a house in Ljungby, where family life and an active schedule go hand in hand. Mikael enjoys exercising and spending time with family and friends. He also coaches football and floorball—an interest that reflects his passion for teamwork and supporting others.

And when it comes to unexpected skills? Mikael reveals a fun one:

“I can play Gubben Noak on the piano!”
