Meet Nils Axelsson – Leading Warehouse & Logistics at Emballator in Växjö

At Emballator, we are proud of the people who keep our operations moving. One of them is Nils Axelsson, Warehouse & Logistics Manager in Växjö. His work plays a key part in ensuring that our logistics run smoothly and that customers receive their deliveries on time.

A varied role with daily hands‑on impact

“I work as the Warehouse & Logistics Manager and am responsible for our entire logistics flow. The work is very broad, and I am involved in several departmental issues. I mainly work with daily operations but also with improvement projects. My work also includes responsibility for system development, training in warehouse & logistics, and optimizing our physical warehouse here in Växjö,” Nils explains.

His days start with preparing the next day’s deliveries and reviewing bookings in the business system. Morning meetings follow, and the rest of the day often involves many conversations, emails and quick decisions. It’s a role that requires both accuracy and calm under pressure—skills that directly support reliable deliveries for our customers.

Growing into responsibility

Nils first joined Emballator as a temporary production worker in early 2019. After a few months, he moved into warehouse and logistics. By the summer of 2019, he became a full‑time employee, and when the previous manager left at the turn of the year 2019/2020, Nils was asked to take on the responsibility.

“I love it when things are hectic and enjoy a fast pace. Every day is different; it’s hard to plan, which I partly like. I also enjoy working on improvement projects and being able to make a significant impact,” says Nils.

Driving development and continuous improvement

Nils has been part of the project group for EWOS, our business system change, and is pleased with the outcome. He has also contributed to a scanning project that led to a more digital and reliable process. Today, he leads the automation group, which focuses on ongoing improvements in warehouse operations.

For Nils, staying composed in busy situations and keeping many tasks moving at once is essential. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue developing his leadership skills and dreams of helping to build a completely new warehouse and logistics operation in the future.

A life rooted in languages, games and family

Outside work, Nils lives in Växjö with his partner Emma and their golden retriever, Love. He has a strong interest in languages—especially French—and has spent time living and travelling across Europe. In his free time, he enjoys miniature and board games and spends a lot of time with his dog and family.
